Socks and Sandals





I know! A shocking (or socking...?) fashion travesty of the highest order........ Or is it?





Credit V&A Museum London These socks below are displayed at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and they are some of the oldest examples of socks in history.


Clearly, they are designed to be worn with sandals, either that or a strange lizard type Ancient Alien.


But I'm going with some Egyptian Pharaoh made them with the express intention to embarrass his children!
