Tyrannosaurus or T-rex is one of the well-represented species of giant dinosaurs. The T-rex lived all across what is known now as Western North America but was then an island continent called Laramidia.
The T-rex is recognised as one of the largest meat-eating dinosaurs that ever existed. All the things about this highly ferocious predator starting from its massive and thick skull up to its 4-foot long jaw were designed uniquely for maximum bone-crushing actions.
There is fossil evidence showing that Tyrannosaurus or T-rex was about 12 metres or 40 feet long and 15-20 feet or about 4.6 to 6 metres tall. T-rex had a long and powerful tail and muscular thighs that help them move quickly. Its massive 5-foot long skull can bore into its prey.
The conical and serrated teeth of T-rex were most likely used to grip and pierce flesh that it eventually ripped away by using its powerful neck muscle. The T-rex two-fingered forearms could seize their prey. However, these were very short to reach its mouth.
